ABOUT OLIVE OIL

The topical application of olive oil has emerged as a significant area of interest in dermatological research, bridging traditional Mediterranean practices with modern biopharmaceutical science. 

As the skin is the body's largest organ and serves as the primary line of defense against pathogens and irritants, maintaining its integrity is essential. Clinical research has demonstrated that specific EVOO-derived polyphenols, such as Oleocanthal and Oleacein, are highly effective at reducing the appearance of wrinkles. In a 30-day randomized clinical trial, participants using a serum containing these compounds saw an average reduction of 23.1% in wrinkle count. These benefits were particularly pronounced in older adults (aged 45–79), where women experienced a mean change of -33.91% and men saw a reduction of -46.56%. These compounds work at a cellular level, penetrating the epidermal barrier to improve skin health.
